My name is Billy Lukwinski and I will be the head coach of the 2024-2025 ACHA D3 Western Michigan University Stallions hockey team. I was a four-year player and captain for the WMU ACHA D3 hockey team and played my last year with the ACHA D1 team. I have obtained my Master’s of Sports Management, with a minor in Event Management from Western Michigan University. Hockey has been a big part of my life, playing club hockey in Chicago, and I’ve been able to experience many different types and styles of hockey. Coaching is something I have become passionate about, after my competitive playing days have come to an end. I look forward to bringing the knowledge and experience I have learned to incoming players and being able to contribute to the game for many years to come.
I hope to build this program into one that becomes a common name in conversations about ACHA hockey. I’m looking to bring a level of discipline and competition to the program that will help our players succeed, not only on the ice, but off the ice as well.
